With five days and four nights at our Ecuador Amazon lodge, you’ll have the time to experience the rainforest in full, from canopy views and canoe exploration to cultural encounters and night walks. Each day brings morning, afternoon, and evening activities led by our expert guides, balanced with free time to relax in comfort at the Lodge. Across our 5,000-acre (2,000-hectare) private reserve, monkeys leap, toucans glide, river otters play, and sloths doze high in the trees, waiting to be discovered.

Journey to the Jungle
Your journey begins at the Quito airport, where our staff assists you with check-in. Soon you’re flying east, leaving the Andes behind as the rainforest stretches out beneath you. A motorized canoe carries you down the Napo River, its waters reflecting the green embrace of the Amazon. At the Lodge, a fresh lunch and warm orientation open the way to discovery. That afternoon, your first guided outing might lead you along forest paths, across mirrored waterways, or to a canopy platform where the forest spreads in every direction. Black-mantled tamarins dart through the branches, puff birds sit in stillness, and caimans warm themselves in the sun. Evening brings a welcome cocktail and an introduction to the Amazon before dinner. Afterward, you may join a night walk to hear the forest’s first nocturnal voices, or simply rest and absorb its stillness.
Amazon in Depth
At dawn, the forest announces itself, the roar of red howler monkeys rolling across the canopy, aracaris winging overhead, the first light catching the leaves. After breakfast, your path may take you up into the treetops, where toucanettes and tanagers move among the branches, or onto the creeks, their waters reflecting herons and turtles at rest. Some mornings, you’ll join a cultural encounter at the Community Interpretation Center or watch the Yasuní Parrot lick and Macaw Tree explode with color. After lunch, time slows: swim in the Lake Pool, explore the Butterfly House, prepare chocolate at the Cacao Experience, or fish for piranhas as the Kichwa people have done for generations. Later, another excursion may reveal a family of red titi monkeys or a sloth hidden in the canopy. Evenings close with dinner and, for those who wish, a guided night walk where frogs and countless insects animate the darkness.
A Fond Farewell
After breakfast, begin your return along the Napo River to Coca, taking in the forest’s last impressions. From Coca, fly back to Quito carrying memories of the Amazon’s wild calls, reflective stillness, and rare encounters that will stay with you long after your journey ends.
