Itinerary & Tour Information

DAY 1

Arrival at Scalesia Lodge

Fly from Quito to Baltra, then continue with water and ground transfers to Isabela Island. Upon arrival at Scalesia Lodge, settle in with a welcome lunch, followed by time to rest before dinner.

DAYS 2 & 3

Exploring Isabela Island

Days at Scalesia unfold in rhythm with the islands, with daily guided excursions in small groups exclusive to lodge guests. Mornings and afternoons are dedicated to exploring Isabela’s volcanic landscapes, coasts, and wildlife, while meals are enjoyed back at the lodge.

DAY 4

Journey to Finch Bay Hotel

After breakfast, fly from Baltra to Santa Cruz Island with visits to Los Gemelos and the Tortoise Reserve along the way. Enjoy lunch at the reserve before continuing to Finch Bay Hotel. Dinner is at leisure, with a choice of restaurants in Santa Cruz or at the hotel.

DAY 5

Yacht Excursion

Embark on a full-day yacht adventure, exploring one of the Galápagos Islands. Each outing includes a excursion and lunch on board before returning to Santa Cruz:

- Thursdays – Santa Fe Island
- Tuesdays & Saturdays – Bartolomé Island + Sullivan Bay
- Wednesdays & Fridays – South Plaza Island + Punta Carrión
- Mondays & Sundays – North Seymour Island + Las Bachas Beach

DAY 6

Santa Cruz Exploration

Begin the day with breakfast before setting out on a tour of Santa Cruz, including Bahía Divine and the Charles Darwin Research Station. Lunch is served at Finch Bay Hotel, with the evening free for dining in Santa Cruz or at the hotel.

DAY 7

Return to Quito

Transfer from Finch Bay Hotel to Baltra’s airport for your flight back to Quito. Upon arrival in Quito, transfer to your airport hotel and enjoy a free afternoon and evening to rest or explore the city.

DAY 8

Arrival at Sacha Lodge

After breakfast at the airport hotel, transfer to Quito’s airport for your flight to Coca and onward travel to Sacha Lodge. Arrive at the Lodge for lunch and an afternoon activity guided by local naturalist guides. Dinner at the Lodge completes your first evening in the Amazon.

DAYS 9 & 10

Full Days at Sacha Lodge

Spend two full days immersed in the Amazon rainforest. Morning, afternoon, and evening activities allow you to explore the reserve’s trails, waterways, and canopy walkways. All meals are served at the Lodge, with opportunities to observe wildlife, connect with the forest, and experience nocturnal excursions.

DAY 11

Journey to Hacienda Piman

After breakfast, depart Sacha Lodge by canoe and fly from Coca to Quito. Continue by road to Hacienda Pimán, with cultural stops at the Quitsato Solar Museum and a rose showroom. Enjoy lunch in Cayambe before arriving at the hacienda for dinner and overnight.

DAY 12

Discover the Andes

Spend the day exploring the Andean region with visits to the Spectacled Bear viewpoint, the Pimampiro Traditional Market, and a choice of trekking or e-biking. Conclude with a visit to the Butterfly House before returning to Hacienda Piman for all meals.

DAY 13

Farewell from Hacienda Pimán

After breakfast, enjoy a walk around Cuicocha Lake and explore the Otavalo Indigenous Craft Market. Visit the Cóndor Huasi rehabilitation project and Zuleta’s embroidery workshops before lunch at Cabañas del Lago. Return to Quito in the evening to conclude your journey.
